Ukrainian women will play in the decisive Euro match.
The women's futsal team of Ukraine reached the finals of the European Futsal Championship for the first time in history.
In the semifinals of Euro-2023, the Ukrainian women beat the Hungarian team with a score of 2:1.
“It was not an easy journey. We had a lot of injuries, a lot of sweat and tears, but we're in the final and it's incredible! We expected Hungary to be a very tough opponent. We had some difficult matches against the Hungarians in Cherkasy and at the last Euro. Maybe we didn't take our chances as well as we should have at times, but it's important there is a result, because, first of all, our goal was to reach the final,” said the coach of the national team of Ukraine Oleg Shaitanov.
In the final on March 19, the Ukrainian team will play against the best team in Europe, Spain, which defeated Portugal (3:2) in its semi-final.
It should be noted that at the Euro- In 2019, the Ukrainian national team took fourth place, and at the 2022 European Championship, Ukrainian women came in third.
