Threats, coldness and deception: journalists presented an investigative film about the escape of two girls from Russian captivity

Investigative film about the escape from the Russians of two Kherson girls who were tricked out by the occupiers first to the temporarily occupied Crimea, and then to the occupied Henichesk, the journalists of Slidstva.Info presented.

“Escape from the Russians” tells the story of 16-year-old Masha and 18-year-old Nastya, who lived in Kherson and after a long occupation and fear of even going outside under the pretext of rest, they agreed to go to the Crimea. At the same time, the “trip” was organized by their teachers.

However, the city was later liberated by the Armed Forces of the Soviet Union, so those who returned home were reprimanded and taken to occupied Henichesk, where they were actually imprisoned in a cold dormitory.

When the girls realized where they had ended up, they began to riot – they refused to stand up for the national anthem of Russia, published patriotic posts on social networks, used Ukrainian symbols. In response, the Russians punished them and campaigned to get a Russian passport.

“The occupiers reminded the most wayward children of the “pit”, the “military commandant's office” and threatened to “seize their mouths”. In addition, the teenagers had problems – in a few days, the occupation commandant's office was supposed to come for them. Masha and Nastya were threatened with “the pit” for their behavior,” says Slidstvo.Info in its article.

At the request of journalists, Masha and Nastya recorded everything that happened to them in Russian captivity, but in a certain moment the situation became critical, and the investigators began to look for all possible ways to return the girls home.
