France has decided to double the number of 155-mm shells it supplies to Ukraine, Minister of the Armed Forces Sebastien Lecorne said in an interview with Le Figaro. According to him, he will soon deliver the promised SAMP/T anti-aircraft system to Ukraine.
“Paris will supply the ground equipment necessary for Ukraine's counteroffensive: yes, we are doubling the supply of 155-mm shells to bring them up to 2,000 from the end of March per month,” Lecorniu stated.
According to him, Paris will very soon supply Ukraine with the SAMP/T air defense system “worth several hundred million euros”.
Lecorniu also noted that now the issue of “replenishment of the support fund for Ukraine, which the presidential majority in the National Assembly wants” was discussed.
