"We will never return to Ukraine": the UAF recalled how legionnaires left the country after February 24

UAF Vice-President Oleksiy Mykhailichenko recalled the events of last year, when officials helped the “Dynamo” legionnaires< /strong> and “Shakhtar” to leave Ukraine after the full-scale invasion of Russia.

“In the first days of the invasion, it was necessary to help the legionnaires of “Shakhtar” and “Dynamo” to leave. It was difficult, but it had to be done. Foreigners were in a big panic, you could say so. They were leaving for the station, and I said that maybe everything will end quickly and you will come back. They said – never,” Mykhailochenko said.

Let us remind you that last February 24 Russian President Putin made an urgent statement on conducting a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, launching a large-scale invasion of Ukrainian bridge.

Practically foreign footballers left Ukraine in the first days of the invasion, and FIFA made a decision that allows legionnaire footballers to unilaterally transfer to other clubs.
