Captain “Dynamo” Serhii Sydorchuk spoke about his interest in the history of Ukraine and his attitude towards Stepan Bandera,

“Regarding the history of Ukraine from textbooks, by which we studied, and now I see how they write in modern textbooks – I see that a lot does not match what was in those textbooks. I think you should know the history of Ukraine. Not that actively, but I am reading now. I was interested where I had gaps.

“Bandera? I also had an opinion about him, but now it has changed drastically. When you were served differently. The same was true of Stus recently. A few years ago, I watched a documentary about Solovki, I saw how this is even possible,” said Sydorchuk.

31-year-old Sydorchuk is a native of the city of Zaporizhzhia. During the season, the Dynamo captain played 25 matches for Kyiv in in all tournaments. The footballer has one goal assist.
