The organizers of the Australian Open tennis championship will hold a charity event before the start of the tournament.
On the eve of the competition in Melbourne there will be several exhibition matches called Tennis Plays for Peace, in which famous tennis players Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev, Francis Tiafoe, Alex de Minor, Coco Goff, Maria Sakkari and others will take part.
Ticket for the charity event will cost 25 dollars for adults and 5 dollars for children, and all collected funds will be sent to humanitarian aid to Ukrainians.
It should be noted that in the Tennis Plays for Peace tournament, 98-year-old Ukrainian Leonid Stanislavskyi will take the court. who will play against the Australian Henry Young.
Australian Open-2023 will be held in Melbourne with January 16 to 29. This is the first Grand Slam tournament of the new season.
