Ukrainian tennis players Ludmila and Nadiya Kichenok won the WTA 250 doubles tournament in Tallinn, Estonia.
Ukrainians beat American Nicole Melihar and the German Laura Siegemund – 7:5, 4:6, 10:7.
The match lasted 1 hour and 59 minutes. Lyudmila and Nadiya served 2 times, made 6 double faults and converted 3/5 break points.
“Thank you to my sister, we haven't played together for a long time, so it was fun, thank you. Congratulations girls on a great in a week, I hope that we will play again, that you will still have a chance. Thank you to the city of Tallinn, the tournament director, we had great pleasure from performing here. This is a great tournament,” said Nadiya Kichenok.
Note , that the joint trophy was the first for Ukrainian women since 2018. Kitchenok performed in tandem for the first time after the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
