Adoption of Ukrainian children for Russians is a matter of money, they are paid for it — Lubinets

The main motivation for Russian citizens to adopt Ukrainian children is to receive payments from the state. At the same time, they do not always try to provide appropriate conditions for children, human rights commissioner Dmytro Lubinets said in an interview with “RBK Ukraine”.

In particular one of the boys returned to Ukraine told that after the so-called “adoption” it turned out that there were already four children in the new “family” and even for them there were no normal living conditions.

“No one asked him if he might need something or if he wanted to eat. He was ignored. He was shown that no one was waiting for him here,” Lubinets noted.

He emphasized that the material aspect is the only motivation for Russian families.

“Adoption of Ukrainian children for a Russian family it's a question of money, they are paid for it. They are not at all interested in what will happen to the child. That's it,” he concluded.

Lubinets noted that the Russians put moral pressure on all the deported children, take away Ukrainian documents and directly forbid them to use the Ukrainian language, to call themselves Ukrainians in general

“They are beginning to tell en masse that “such a state as Ukraine does not exist, it is an artificially created state, such an ethnic group as Ukrainian does not exist. You have always been Russian, your native language is Russian. Be glad that you are now on the territory of Russia, learn the language, consider consider yourselves patriots, sign up for the “youth army” and prepare for the fact that you will fight with the Nazis, who still live somewhere in the territory of Ukraine, but we must destroy them and annex the entire territory to the Russian Federation,'' he told the collected data from the children, who managed to be returned home.
