Since the beginning of the full-scale war, almost 5,000 men have tried to leave Ukraine illegally , Andriy Demchenko, a spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, told Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform .

In places where there are no checkpoints, border guards detained 3.5 thousand such people. More than a thousand more men tried to leave the country on forged documents.

Over the past day, there were more than 30 such people.

“Almost every day Border guards refuse to allow about a hundred men who are subject to martial law restrictions, “Demchenko said.

According to the law, during the martial law men aged 18-60 do not have the right to leave Ukraine, but there are exceptions, for example: truck drivers; men carrying humanitarian goods; unfit for military service due to health condition; students; athletes; parents with many children who have three or more minor children; single parents.
