Canadian elite school will accept children of fallen soldiers for education

As part of comprehensive assistance to Ukraine, Canada is preparing to accept children of fallen Defenders of Ukraine for education. Teenagers born in 2008 will be able to participate in the educational program. Private school Brooks Westshore will select ten students on a competitive basis. The detailed selection conditions were announced by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.

Brooks Westshore International School is located in the city of Victoria on Vancouver Island. The intensive study program is aimed at preparing students to study at the best universities in the world and takes place according to the International Baccalaureate system.

In order to apply for training, you must have:

  • high academic performance;
  • basic level of English language proficiency;
  • motivation and emotional maturity, which are necessary for long-term study abroad, during the next 4 years.

The competition will take place in three stages:

  1. Until December 22 inclusive it is necessary to write an essay in Ukrainian about your personal interests and expectations from education in Canada. In case of successful completion of the first stage, the project coordinators will contact the participants to complete the second and third stages.

After the successful completion of the competitive selection, the ten finalists must arrive in Canada by the end of the winter of 2023. Students without parents or guardians will live in a dormitory on the campus.
