A rescEU energy hub was opened in Poland, which will become a logistics center for the delivery of emergency energy aid to Ukraine . It will allow to significantly increase the amount of free energy assistance for Ukraine in its darkest hour. This is stated in the message of the Representation of the European Union in Ukraine.

Through rescEU, international partners and the private sector will have the opportunity to direct their donations to help Ukraine, and the European Union, in turn, will finance its delivery from the hub.

In particular, through the energy hub, delivery of power generators to Ukraine so that it would be able to maintain power supply in the midst of Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure.

“Generators supplied from the EU can be of different capacities, from small ones capable of supplying electricity to individual households, to much more powerful models suitable for running public facilities and vital public services such as hospitals and central heating points”. – says the message of the Representation.

The European Union has already allocated €114 million for the purchase of generators for the rescEU energy reserve.

As a first step, 1,000 new generators from the Polish rescE< reserve will be delivered to Ukraine. /strong>U in addition to the 1,400 generators and millions of units of power equipment already offered through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.

We will remind that this week the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine detained the acting head of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, Vasyl Lozynskyi, for a $400,000 bribe in a case related to the purchase of generators.

As previously reported, Serbia will hand over equipment to Ukraine energy infrastructure support. Assistance with energy equipment is also provided to Ukraine by the United States, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Taiwan, Estonia, Latvia, Germany, Britain, New Zealand.
