Great Britain announced the allocation of 36 million pounds for humanitarian aid. This is stated in the message of the British Government.

People whose lives have been affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, drought and food shortages in East Africa and the conflict in Syria will be among those to receive £36 million in UK humanitarian aid. The British government announced its decision on the eve of the World Humanitarian Day of the United Nations Organization.

Of this amount, 15 million pounds will go to help Ukrainian refugees.. This will make it possible to support up to 200,000 people from the most vulnerable sections of the population who suffered from the Russian invasion: children, the elderly and people with disabilities.

These funds will be distributed by the international humanitarian organization Mercy Corps, which will be responsible for providing refugees with food, water, medical services and will provide psychological support and childcare services.

16.8 million dollars will be directed to support East Africa, which is suffering from a food shortage caused, in particular, by Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Another 8.4 million dollars will go to help Syrian refugees who have found shelter from the civil war in neighboring Lebanon.
