One of the power units of the NPP is undergoing overhaul.
Today, January 3, one of the units of “Energoatom” is being taken out for scheduled overhaul. This was reported by the press service of the state enterprise.
This is a major overhaul, which is carried out once every four years in order to ensure nuclear and radiation safety as required by the license conditions.
Therefore, in the near future it should be expected that eight nuclear power units will operate in the energy system of Ukraine power plants located in the territory controlled by the state.
“All six power units of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP are stopped, their activation is blocked by the invaders. Currently, the ZNPP continues to constantly consume electricity for its own needs from the energy system of Ukraine,” the energy experts reminded.
