France is going to hand over AMX-10P infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine, which were retired from the army in 2015. This was reported by the journalist of the French l'Opinion Jean Merke on Twitter.

It is about the delivery of 25 units of obsolete military equipment, which is no longer part of the armed forces and has been transferred to storage bases. There is no information on the full amount of equipment that can be transferred to the Armed Forces.

AMX-10P is a French infantry fighting vehicle that was produced until 1994. In addition to France, BMP operators include Indonesia, Qatar, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the UAE and other countries.

It is known that the AMX-10P was actively withdrawn from the French armed forces in the first half of the 2010s. The complete rejection took place already in 2015 – then the outdated BMPs were replaced by VBCI armored personnel carriers.
