The deputy head of the parliamentary committee on the organization of state power Olena Shulyak told about this on the air of the national telethon.

According to the representative of the government, as of 3 in July, about 220 thousand citizens of Ukraine submitted applications for compensation due to the housing destroyed by the Russians.

“As of today, the Russian occupiers have destroyed more than 15 million square meters of Ukrainian housing. The most damage to the housing stock is in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Chernihiv regions,” Shulyak said.

She also noted that the government is trying to restore the maximum number of houses by beginning of the heating season. For this, $1.4 billion was allocated from the reserve fund.

“First of all, transport connections, engineering networks are being repaired, and security measures are being taken. The funds will be directed to those houses where doors can be quickly replaced, roofs repaired, and repairs made quickly,” the representative of the parliamentary committee emphasized.
