Some categories of men are not subject to mobilization.

General mobilization and martial law are ongoing in Ukraine, introduced due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. Conscript men aged 18 to 60 are subject to mobilization. But even at this time, some of them are exempted from mobilization due to their health. The complete list of diseases with which they are not accepted for military service is prescribed in the order “On approval of the Regulation on military medical examination in the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.

Men who have serious pathologies are exempted from mobilization and military service:

  • absence of a limb;
  • blindness;
  • deafness;
  • mental retardation;
  • schizophrenia.

There is also a list of diseases that can temporarily or permanently exempt a conscript from military service not only in peacetime, but also in wartime.< /p>

What diseases are not called up to the army

Such diseases include:

  • Hepatitis (severe form of viral hepatitis, which is difficult to treat and is accompanied by pronounced disorders in the functioning of organs and systems).

  • Oncological diseases (when an incurable diagnosis is established).
  • HIV infection (if it is accompanied by the development of parasitic or infectious diseases, the formation of malignant tumor processes, other specified diseases).
  • Diseases of the nervous systemin an acute form (for example, meningitis, encephalitis, Parkinson's disease, myopathy, lumbago, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy).
  • Diseases of the respiratory system (chronic form of bronchitis and pneumonia, COPD or a severe form of bronchial asthma).
  • Pathologies of the genitourinary system (for example, severe nephrotic syndrome, acute pyelitis, chronic primary pyelonephritis, nephropathy, renal failure, hydronephrosis).
  • Bone disease(pronounced deformation or defects of fingers, feet; severe form of flat feet; fibroblastic pathologies with impaired motor activity).
  • Diseases of the digestive system (maxillofacial anomalies (with the exception of congenital), anomalies of the bite, accompanied by a violation of breathing, smell, as well as swallowing, speech and chewing function).
