More than 1,100 doctors from Germany have announced their readiness to provide assistance in Ukraine or neighboring countries, according to DW.

“It shows how much solidarity health workers have with the people of Ukraine. Working there can be life-threatening,” said Klaus Reinhardt, head of the German Medical Association, in an interview with Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland. who want to help the people of Ukraine are registered on a special portal of the association. The organization is negotiating with the Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs of Germany, as well as with the embassies of Ukraine and neighboring countries on the need for help from German doctors.

“As soon as the government announces that international humanitarian missions need doctors, we are ready to provide enough help,” said the head of the German Medical Association.

Currently, 230 foreign doctors work in Ukraine, and another 2,000 are also ready to provide assistance, says Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.
