NASA showed prototypes of spacesuits developed by Axiom Space for the Artemis III mission. As reported on the agency's website, astronauts will wear these spacesuits during work at the south pole of the Moon.

The presented prototype is made in black with orange inserts. In the caption to the photo of the spacesuit, NASA representatives noted that, most likely, the spacesuits that will be handed over to the astronauts will be completely white. This will ensure their safety and cooling while working on the lunar surface.

Within NASA's Artemis mission plans to return astronauts to the moon, including the first woman to walk on our planet's satellite.

NASA has selected Axiom Space to develop a lunar landing system, including spacesuits, for the mission. The spacesuit, called the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit, or AxEMU, is based on NASA's prototype spacesuit development and includes the latest technology, increased mobility and additional protection against the dangers of the Moon.
