This time, Apple still gave up on miniature versions of phones. And now the entire line consists of the following models:

– iPhone 14 Plus;
– iPhone 14 Pro;
– iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The design of smartphones remained the same as its predecessor, because users liked it, and there was no point in changing it. The base model and Max got a glossy glass back panel, and the “pros” got a matte one. Both options are scratch and drop resistant. Devices also differ in size. Base and Pro received a diagonal of 6.1 inches, and Plus and Pro Max – 6.7 inches. I was also pleased with the variety of body colors.
Features of the screen
The quality of the screen affects the comfort of using the phone. iPhones have never had any significant problems with this. This time, there are not many Cupertino residents either, but they have improved the quality of the display. It uses OLED and Retina technologies, which allowed to increase the pixel density to 460 per inch. They provide high contrast, clarity and detail of the picture.
And, of course, the most significant and noticeable change on the iPhone 14 screen was the absence of “bangs” in the Pro models. Instead, the camera and Face ID sensor are neatly “cut” into the screen itself. The display also received a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of up to 1600 nits. Improving iPhone 14 performance
In each new line, the company upgrades both significantly and almost imperceptibly. But one way or another, all the improvements result in improved performance and increased power of the phones. iPhone 14 received the following updates:
- A15 and A16 processors. The basic model and Plus work on the 15th version of the chip, thanks to which their performance does not fall below the top models of the previous line. And the “pros” received a new A16 chip. Such an upgrade will allow the phone to remain relevant for a long time.
- RAM. The increased amount of RAM ensures fast and stable operation of iPhones in multitasking mode and at maximum load. iPhone 14 and Plus have 6 GB of RAM, and Pro and Pro Max have 8 GB.
- Capacitive battery. As the performance of the phone increases, so does the need for a more powerful battery so that the device does not discharge too quickly. The batteries of the new iPhone 14 have a capacity of 3200 to 4325 mAh.
The storage memory did not receive new configurations. Its volume remained, as in the previous line, from 128 GB to 1 TB. This parameter affects the cost of iPhones and there is simply no need for overclocking the internal storage yet.
How have optics changed?
Updates to iPhone cameras are one of the most anticipated. It is difficult to argue with the fact that the optics of “apple” phones are much better than those of most other manufacturers. And the company maintains this reputation year after year.
The main unit of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus cameras consists of two lenses (12 + 12 MP), and the “pros” received three. In the latter case, it is the main camera, an ultra-wide-angle and a telephoto lens. Their resolution is 48 + 12 + 12 MP, respectively. Video recording with 8K resolution has also become available. The front camera also received a number of system updates and a resolution of 12 MP.
Changes have also appeared in shooting modes and capabilities, but their it is better to “feel” live. You will be pleased with the quality of night shooting and excellent zoom with significantly less graininess of the image. With new capabilities and resolution, photos in normal lighting are difficult to distinguish from studio photos taken on a professional camera.
