The National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the spheres of energy and complex services (NKREKP) plans to include in the agenda in March 2023 the issue of raising tariffs for centralized water supply and centralized water drainage. This is reported on the website of the NCRECP.

Yes, the commission plans to increase tariffs by two stages: first April 1st and thenJuly 1.The issue of raising tariffs will be included in the agenda of the commission meeting in the form of an open hearing.

It is noted that the draft tariffs for centralized water supply and drainage have been carefully checked, therefore the recalculation meets the requirements of the current legislation.

“In order to curb the financial burden on consumers and ensure the provision of centralized water supply and centralized wastewater services of appropriate quality, the regulator has minimized costs in the tariff structure,” the message reads.

We will remind you that water utilities have been trying to raise tariffs for more than a year. At the end of 2021, they submitted tariffs for approval to the NCRECP, which turned out to be significantly inflated.

However, after a significant outcry, this idea was abandoned.
