Despite Russia's military aggression, pensions and other social benefits continue to be paid in Ukraine. Families with an average monthly income below the subsistence minimum can receive low-income assistance. But sometimes payments can be refused. The publication Facts ICTV talked about the factors that can be reasons for refusing to apply for assistance for low-income families.

Why benefits can be denied

Social benefits for low-income families can be denied for several reasons:

  • the family has more than one car;< /li>
  • a low-income family owns a second apartment or house (this does not apply to real estate located in temporarily occupied territories);
  • if one of the parents bought a plot of land, real estate, or a vehicle, or made a one-time payment for any services (except for medical, educational, and housing and communal payments); , for which income is taken into account, but did not work, did not complete military service did not study.

The decision to refuse payments can be appealed in court.
