Pensioners who move to mountain regions can get a 20% pension bonus.

  • former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of forced detention and places of forced labor during the Second World War;
  • persons who were forcibly deported from the territory of the former USSR for forced labor to the territory of Germany or its allies, or on the territory of other states occupied by them;
  • children who were born in places of forced detention of their parents and in places where parents performed forced labor;
  • children of partisans, underground fighters, other participants in the struggle against the National Socialist regime behind enemy lines, who, in connection with the patriotic activities of their parents, were subjected to repression, physical violence, persecution.

The amount of the allowance is established as a percentage of the living wage for disabled persons. From July 1, 2022, it will be UAH 2,027.

Persons with the status of victims of Nazi persecution have the right to an allowance in the amount of:

  • minor prisoners with disabilities of the 1st group – 50% (1013.50 UAH);
  • juvenile prisoners with disabilities of the II group – 40% (810.80 UAH);
  • juvenile prisoners with disabilities of the III group – 30% (608.10 UAH);
  • former prisoners of concentration camps and other places of forced imprisonment 15% (304.05 UAH);
  • former prisoners of concentration camps and other places of forced imprisonment, awarded with a medal – 20% (405.40 UAH);
  • spouses of deceased victims of Nazi persecution – 10% (202.70 UAH);
  • spouses of deceased prisoners with disabilities – 25% (506.75 UAH).

A person can choose only one type of allowance.

How to get a pension supplement

A certificate of the status of a victim of Nazi persecution is issued by the social security authorities. Certificates issued by:

  • security service bodies;
  • state archives, archives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, archival institutions of other states are accepted for confirmation of status;
  • International by the Red Cross tracing service;
  • archives-museums, created including at the locations of former fascist concentration camps (Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Dachau, Mauthausen, Ravensbrück and others), ghettos and other places of forced detention and forced labor during the Second World War;
  • archives of foreign anti-fascist organizations.

In some cases, certificates of a victim of Nazi persecution can also be issued on the basis of an extract from personal file documents at the place of work or, for example, from the books of the movement of pupils of children's institutions with the name indicated of these institutions and the time of the person's stay in them.

Confirmation can also be provided by the testimony of foreign citizens currently living in Germany or in other countries. Documents about the fact of Nazi persecution, drawn up in a foreign language and certified in the relevant state, must be accompanied by a translation into Ukrainian (also notarized).
