Rental prices for real estate in Kyiv increased significantly, almost to pre-war level, but fell again after Russian leader Vladimir Putin's threat that Russia might strike the capital. The head of the Kyiv city branch of the Association of Real Estate Specialists of Ukraine, Olena Haydamaha, said this in a comment to the “Vechirnii Kyiv” publication.

In fact, real estate can now be rented 15-20% cheaper than in 2021.

The approximate price for a one-room apartment in Kyiv is 9-10 thousand hryvnias, for a two-room apartment – 14-15 thousand, and for a three-room apartment – 15-16 thousand hryvnias.

The expert says that the increase in the price of both the cost and rent of apartments, which happened recently, is connected with demand. People come to Kyiv from dangerous regions and return to the capital after it has become more or less safe.

However, the demand for real estate is also affected by the threats of Russian leader Vladimir Putin. . Due to the fact that Russia may strike Kiev, the last few weeks have seen a decrease in the price of renting apartments.

The data on the level of rental prices is also confirmed by one of the real estate portals. According to his data, the median rental price in Kyiv is 12,000 hryvnias.

Average prices by district are as follows:

  • rent in the Pechersk district costs: 14,000 hryvnias for a one-room apartment, almost 20,000 for a two-room apartment, and a three-room apartment can be rented for 25,000 hryvnias;

  • rent in the Dnipro district – 8,750 hryvnias;
  • rent in the Desnyan district – 8,500 hryvnias;
  • rent in the Sviatoshyn district – 8,500 hryvnias.
