The website of the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS) was hacked on Saturday, causing technical problems. Yle writes about it.

According to the management of the institution, the problems spread both to the external website of the hospital district and to the internal network and internal services of HUS. Currently, specialists are working on eliminating the causes and consequences of the attack and restoring the online resource.

At the same time, the Russian hacker group KillMilk today published on its Telegram channel a list of health care facilities that will be attacked.

The attack in Finland targeted a number of hospital district websites, however, with the exception of HUS, other resources were not affected.

In addition to Finland, Russian hackers announced attacks on hospitals in the US, Norway, The Netherlands, Great Britain and Germany.

The day before, Russian hackers attacked some Czech websites against the background of the second round of the country's presidential elections, which will take place on January 27-28.

Previously, hackers from the Killnet group tried to disable the websites of German authorities and companies. The group stated that the attack was a response to Germany's announced supply of tanks to Ukraine.
