At all protests and at all times the Georgian people declared their choice in favor of Europe, the President of Georgia said Salome Zurabishvili in an interview with CNN.

“For the entire history of Georgia, no matter how many times the Georgian people went to the streets, their choice and message was as follows: we want to Europe. The law that was initiated and that I promised to veto is against all the principles that the European Union stands for. And this happens when we are waiting for the status of a candidate country. A few months ago, Ukraine and Moldova acquired the status, but Georgia did not. The people of Georgia know how important this is to us. They know that their children's future depends on what we do in the coming weeks and months. They understand very clearly that they need Europe,” the president said.

Salome Zurabishvili, who was on a visit to the USA, said yesterday that she would veto the law on “foreign agents” if it is passed by the parliament.
