Due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation, many Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes and go abroad. In particular, some citizens of Ukraine received temporary shelter in the Czech Republic. The Ministry of Reintegration explained how Ukrainian refugees can go through the procedure of extending temporary protection in the Czech Republic.

How Ukrainians can extend temporary protection in the Czech Republic

For Ukrainians who have found temporary shelter after February 24 in the Czech Republic, it is necessary to go through the procedure for extending temporary protection by March 31, 2023.

For this, first of all, you should go through online registration and reserve a date for a personal visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

When registering, you must specify:

  • personal data;
  • registration of the place of residence in the Czech Republic;
  • address and name of the school or kindergarten where the child goes;
  • confirm the relationship with the person under the age of 18 for whom you are extending temporary protection .

After registering and booking a date, your temporary protection will be extended until September 30.

Confirmation of registration information and the place and time of the visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs office will be sent to e-mail.
