The Turkish company Baykar, known for its “Bayraktar” drones, tested a new jet UAV Bayraktar Kizilelma< /strong>, equipped with Ukrainian-made engines. This is reported by Anadolu.

The day before, the technical director of the Baykar company Seljuk Bayraktar published a video on Twitter with the first launch of the new drone without safety cables.

Bayraktar Kizilelma is an unmanned aerial vehicle with a turbojet engine that can carry up to 1.5 thousand kg of payload (that is, weapons or other devices). The declared maximum speed of the UAV is 900 km/h, the flight range is 930 km, and the operating height is more than 10 km. The operating time of the device in the air is five hours.

It is expected that the new combat drone will make its first full flight no earlier than 2023. Interestingly, Kizilelma is equipped with Ukrainian-made AI-322F and AI-25TLT engines. It is also reported that the drone will be able to take off and land on ships with short runways.
