The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft decree of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on the termination of Ukraine's border cooperation with Russia and Belarus, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
As noted, the document provides for the termination of the agreement between our state and the Russian Federation on cooperation and interaction on border issues, as well as the withdrawal of Kyiv from the memorandum on cooperation in the protection of the state borders of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, such a step is necessary due to a fundamental change in circumstances and systematic violations of the international obligations undertaken by both the Russian and Belarusian authorities in relations with our country.
