The European Union is close to an agreement on cryptocurrency regulation , which will establish common rules for 27 countries, according to Bloomberg.

The EU is primarily discussing investor protection and financial stability after the collapse of TerraUSD (UST). At the moment, the parliament is discussing how to limit the use of stablecoins.

Also according to Bloomberg sources, the EU insists on considering the impact of bitcoin mining on the environment.

Earlier it was reported that the Rada passed a law on the legalization of cryptocurrencies with Zelensky's proposals. The President proposed to include this market in the existing regulators.
