EU may reach agreement on cryptocurrency regulation by the end of June

The European Union is close to the agreement on cryptocurrency regulation , which will establish common rules for 27 countries, according to Bloomberg.

First of all, the EU is discussing investor protection and financial stability after the collapse of TerraUSD (UST). Parliament is currently debating how to limit the use of stablecoins.

According to Bloomberg sources, the EU is insisting on considering the impact of bitcoin mining on the environment.

Earlier it was reported that the Council passed a law on the legalization of cryptocurrencies with Zelensky's proposals. The President proposed to include this market in the existing regulators.
