    In her photo sessions, the artist uses authentic vintage clothes, objects of antiquity, as well as authentic reconstructions. He draws inspiration from painting, old photographs, folklore and folk traditions. The peculiarity is that, despite the genre of the filming, its models are most often not professionals, but ordinary people, whom Anna considers the best for reproducing living, real types.

    The exhibition presents a collection of portraits of Ukrainians in authentic clothes of the Poltava region. In her works, Anna Senik pays special attention to revealing the images of Poltava Oblast – as the cradle of Ukrainian culture. This exhibition is the result of photo sessions over the past 5 years in close cooperation with ethnographer, stylist, researcher of traditional Ukrainian costume Olena Didyk. For filming, costumes from private collections and collections, including Eduard Krutko's “Tree” ethnographic collection, as well as from the funds of the Poltava Regional History Museum named after Vasyl Krychevskyi.
