Russian businessmen do not understand how to get the country out of sanctions and are afraid of reprisals.
Despite the decrease in trust in Russian President Vladimir Putin inside the country, the Russian establishment is still far from open rebellion, and the Kremlin is trying to expand the circle as much as possible responsible and involved in the war in Ukraine, Volodymyr Kravchenko writes in his material “Black label: what is happening in Putin's entourage”.
He notes that if part of the Russian elite does not share Putin's stated goals of the attack on Ukraine, then they do not speak about it publicly, because no one wants to sacrifice what they have earned. Moreover, many people show loyalty to Putin.
One of the reasons for this situation is the lack of a clear understanding of the mechanism of Russia's exit from sanctions. Other reasons are a pseudo-patriotic atmosphere and fear of repression.
At the same time, the Kremlin wants to “smear” the entire establishment with blood as much as possible. Yes, big business is pushed to pay “voluntary” contributions to the Russian budget. The heads of the regions are forming volunteer battalions,” the author points out.

In particular, the reputations of the head of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, and the Minister of Finance, Anton Siluanov, have already been hopelessly destroyed. and the head of Sberbank, Herman Gref, who began restructuring the Russian economy under wartime requirements to ease sanctions and actually saved the regime from the first wave of a possible collapse.
