The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjártó, at a joint press conference with the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, said that Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden, < strong>despite their opposition, should meet and talk about ending the war, not make speeches. This was reported by the Hungarian publication Magyar Hirlap.

The head of Hungarian diplomacy answered questions about the separate speeches of the presidents of the USA and Russia on Tuesday.

“They could have done a much greater service to humanity if yesterday talked to each other,” Sijarto noted.

“This war must end immediately. If there is no immediate ceasefire and peace talks do not begin immediately, huge problems may arise,” the minister stressed.

“It would be great if the Americans and the Russians would finally talk to each other and do everything possible to end this war as soon as possible,” he added.
