The Ministry of Reintegration appealed to the National Bank with a complaint about the actions of Privatbank, which allegedly blocks the accounts of customers living in the temporarily occupied territories if they cannot update their personal data . Residents of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and temporarily occupied Luhansk and Donetsk regions addressed similar complaints about Privatbank's actions to the Ministry of Reintegration. , her words are quoted by the press service.

Privatbank claims that the accounts of customers were not blocked. However, they note that they continue to work on making the procedure for updating customer data from TOT as convenient and accessible as possible.

The banking institution notes that they asked customers to update information for security reasons, and not to block accounts . “We will continue to work with the government, the National Bank of Ukraine and non-governmental organizations to improve the verification procedures mandatory for banks for customers who, due to the war, ended up in territories temporarily occupied by the enemy or were forced to evacuate to safe regions of the country,” Privatbank emphasized.
