The Moscow Times writes about 300 deserters from Dagestan who were based in the “DNR” area

On at the beginning of spring, three hundred occupiers from military unit 63354 in Buynaksk (Dagestan) voluntarily laid down their arms and left Ukraine, where they had been based in the area of ​​the so-called DPR for some time. Some of them had to “cut blackened flesh” from frostbitten limbs, writes The Moscow Times with reference to two human rights defenders.

The military claimed that they had problems with uniforms and weapons. One of the interviewed lawyers stated that some of the soldiers returned to Dagestan with frostbitten limbs.

Apparently, the mentioned servicemen were transferred to Ukraine during the first phase of the large-scale war that the Kremlin launched on February 24.

In Buinaksk, the soldiers were met as deserters. Their leadership organized a meeting in the city with the participation of their relatives, local authorities, the military and the prosecutor's office.

As a result, some soldiers were released, and some were transferred back to Ukraine.
