The National Bank reported on private transfers to Ukraine for 2022

The amount of private transfers to Ukraine from abroad in December 2022 amounted to 1.157 billion dollars. This is 10.9% less than a year earlier ($1.299 billion). This is stated in the estimates of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

A total of 13.073 billion dollars came to Ukraine last year, which is 6.7% less than the year before (14.019 billion dollars).

In its calculations, the National Bank took into account both formal and informal channels of money transfers to Ukraine.

It should be noted that for 2023 the NBU forecast for private transfers from abroad has been increased from $13.1 billion to 16.4 billion dollars. 13.8 billion dollars is expected in 2024.

Let us remind you that National Bank expects economic growth already this year. “The National Bank expects a slight increase in real GDP in 2023 by 0.3%,” the head of the NBU noted.
