The occupiers will not release children from Melitopol starting from September 1 - the mayor

The Russian occupiers at the checkpoints spread among those leaving Melitopol information that from September 1, they will stop releasing children. This was announced by the mayor of the occupied city Ivan Fedorov during a broadcast on Facebook.

The mayor of Melitopol urged the citizens to leave now. And the authorities are ready to provide assistance in this.

“If you have family, friends and relatives in the territory of Ukraine or the European Union, we are ready to provide assistance and assistance in evacuation. To do this, you need to contact our assistance center “Right here” and we will help you move to the territory controlled by the state of Ukraine,” he addressed the residents of the occupied city.

He also noted that now more than a thousand cars with people trying to evacuate Melitopol have gathered in Vasylivka (the only road through which you can leave the city). The Russian military complicates their movement in every possible way. And they try to take $100-$500 bribes for travel.

After heavy rains, due to the fact that the road near Kamenskyi was washed out, cars got stuck in the mud. The occupiers let cars pass in small batches. But they were immediately trapped in the mud. According to Fedorov,it is impossible to fill the primer with crushed stone. The enemy does not allow Ukraine to carry out these works in the gray zone.

According to the mayor of the city, the occupiers seized the premises of Ukrainian universities and created a fake university in Melitopol.

“The diplomas of this “institution” will not be recognized by any civilized country in the world,” the mayor noted.

The real Ukrainian universities of Melitopol (TDATU and MDPU) have already been re-registered in Zaporizhzhia.

He reminded that unique conditions were created for the graduates of the schools of the temporarily occupied territories when entering universities. They don't need to leave Melitopol to take the final exam. For admission, it is enough to register on the university's website and pass an oral interview.
