Ukraine has already provided itself with food for the year 2023. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said this during the government meeting on Friday, December 31, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.

“We will continue to support the agricultural sector, which is so himself showed incredible resilience. We gave 80 billion UAH to 38,000 of our farmers during these months of war. We helped to carry out the most difficult sowing in the history of Ukraine on time. Thanks to this, more than 60 million tons of crops have already been harvested. And Ukraine has definitely provided itself with food for next year,” said Denys Shmyhal.

He also reported that thanks to the “grain initiative” 15 million tons of products were exported, and through the Danube ports of Ukraine – more than 10 million tons.

All this was achieved thanks to new logistics not only by waterways, but also by railways and vehicles. Several key checkpoints on the border with Poland were significantly expanded and a new border crossing with Romania was opened.
