In total, 225 Ukrainian defenders came to Spain for training.
Today 225 Ukrainian servicemen will arrive at the Spanish Air Force Base Torrejon near Madrid. 20 of them will undergo training in handling HAWK air defense systems, which the country promised to provide to Kyiv to counter air attacks. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of Spain.
The rest of the servicemen, who are civilian Ukrainians without previous military experience, will undergo basic training: it will include training in providing medical aid to the wounded and disarming explosive devices.
< p>The training will take place within the framework of the program developed for 400 Ukrainian servicemen, which is part of the European Union's military aid mission to Ukraine.
This is the second group of Ukrainian servicemen who have arrived in Spain for training. In November and December, 64 military personnel arrived at the training.
