Due to the military invasion of Russia many Ukrainians were forced to go abroad. According to the UN, the largest number of Ukrainian refugees with the status of temporary protection are in Poland.

The Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories reports on its Telegram channel that Ukrainians who are in Poland and plan to obtain a driver's license for the first time can enroll in driver's courses.

- stay in the country for more than 185 days;
- availability of a damaged card;
- availability of a valid housing rental agreement.
How to get a driving license in Poland
- Contact the communications department at your place of residence to receive a driver candidate profile (PKK) with the following package of documents: an application, a photo measuring 3.5×4.5 cm, a certificate of familiarization with the content of Art. 233 of the Criminal Code and a medical certificate confirming the absence of contraindications for driving.
- Choose the most convenient driving school and enroll in courses by providing your PKK.
- Take theoretical and practical training courses. Pass an internal test followed by a driving school completion certificate.
- Apply to the Voivodship Traffic Center (Wojewódzki Osrodek Ruchu Drogowego) to take external driving theory and practice tests. To be allowed to take the test, you need to provide the same documents as for the assignment of a PKK number, plus a certificate from a driving school.
- After successfully passing all parts of the test at the Voivodship Traffic Center, pay for the production of a driver's license and immediately receive the finished document.
