Olesia Ilashchuk, who was appointed last week as the ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria, did not have any diplomatic experience before and worked as a Gestalt psychologist and a sexologist. This is reported by “European Truth” with reference to several sources in the diplomatic corps.
The official biography of Ilashchuk has not yet been published on the website of the Embassy of Ukraine in Bulgaria – there, as before, the portrait of the previous ambassador Vitaly Moskalenko hangs there. At the same time, according to the authors of the material, in her Facebook profile, which was closed to everyone except friends on the evening of December 25, Ilashchuk positions herself as a “clinical psychologist, systemic family therapist, Gestalt therapist, sexologist-consultant.” At the same time, the woman displayed personal photos and various information about herself in the profile itself.

The authors of the material note that the appointment to the position of ambassador of persons who are in no way related to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a common practice under various presidents, although it is a cause of criticism.
Ilashchuk herself has not commented on the situation yet.
