Belgrade promises to check information about the participation of Serbs in the war against Ukraine

Minister of Defense of Serbia Milos Vucevic on Monday, January 16, that Serbian law enforcement officers will check information about the participation of Serbia in the war in Ukraine is on the side of the Russians. This was reported by the Serbian service “Radio Liberty”.

“Our country very clearly declares that the participation of citizens of Serbia in all conflicts in other countries is prohibited, and this entails legal consequences,” he said, urging Serbs with “patriotic positive zeal” to join the army of Serbia.

He also emphasized that Serbia is interested in ending the war in Ukraine as soon as possible and seeks peace.

It should be noted that on the VKontakte social network in mid-January, photos were published that allegedly showed Serbian fighters who had arrived in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine. It was noted that they are part of the Russian battalion of Pavel Sudoplatov. Zaporizhian Gauleiter Yugen Balytskyi was also quoted in the message as saying that the Serbian militants partially demonstrated their “loyalty to Russia”.
