In Kyiv, it is planned to launch the work of a consulting group on guarantees of the security of Ukraine. To implement the project, former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will arrive in our country on July 1. This was stated by the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak at a briefing in Kyiv, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to Yermak, the G7 countries are “ready to join the creation of a system of permanent security guarantees for Ukraine, strengthening its stability and preventing attempts of repeated aggression by Russia”.

“It is this circle of issues that will be worked on by the advisory group under our joint leadership with Mr. Rasmussen, the former Secretary General of NATO. By the way, he should visit Kyiv on July 1 to launch the group's work and introduce its first members,” Yermak said.

The head of the President's Office specified that our country “needs not assurances, but appropriately ratified security guarantees.” This is a complex of measures, which primarily provides for ensuring the defense capability and restoration of the military-technical potential of Ukraine, the maximum integration of Ukraine into international political and economic formats, long-term effective sanctions against Russia, which will make it impossible to restore its military power for a new attempt at aggression.”
