In the territory of the Sverdlovsk region of the Russian Federation, near the village of Pelym, on the night of March 30, an explosion occurred on the main gas pipeline, which caused a large-scale fire. The local authorities and emergency services confirmed the information about the event in comments to the propaganda media.

The head of the district Shahit Aliyev assured that no one was injured as a result of the incident, but did not tell about its causes. “Yes, there was an explosion on the gas pipeline there. There were no people there. Gas residues burned out of the pipe, there was a fire,” the official said.

Emergency services noted that gas supply to the residents of the region was not disrupted due to the event. The explosion and the fire there were described in one word – “depressurization”.

At the same time, the Russian mass media, citing “eyewitnesses”, write that the glow from the fire that broke out on the main gas pipeline can be seen tens of kilometers away.
