In Ukraine, they want to simplify the process of rehabilitation of war victims

Due to the full-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the number of wounded defenders, as well as civilians, who need rehabilitation services is increasing. For Ukrainians, they plan to simplify access to rehabilitation and introduce some digital tools, writes the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration.

According to the Ministry of Health, from May 2023 in Ukraine, the entire process of patient rehabilitation will be accompanied by an electronic health care system ( ESOZ). This will make it possible to store data about the patient's health in a single place – in an electronic card, as well as to eliminate unnecessary bureaucratic procedures.

Yes , at the first stage of digitization, doctors will enter all medical information about rehabilitation interventions, examination results, and other necessary data into the EHS. It is expected that electronic tools will help to ensure the transparency, controllability and efficiency of rehabilitation support.

“The digitization of these services is implemented within the framework of the project “Rehabilitation of war injuries in Ukraine”, which is implemented by the BF “Patients of Ukraine” with the support of Switzerland and the European Union,” the message says.

Currently, the state provides the entire complex of medical and rehabilitation assistance for victims of the war. Rehabilitation is guaranteed by the state and is provided free of charge in medical institutions that have contracts with the National Health Service of Ukraine under the package “Rehabilitation assistance for adults and children in inpatient conditions”.
