Next week, NASA plans to launch the Artemis-1 mission, which will test its rocket and spacecraft designed for flights to the moon. According to Xinhua, the rocket and the spacecraft have already been delivered to the launch pad.

It is noted that the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion spacecraft will fly without passengers on board. It should help test the readiness of the system to launch manned missions. The Orion spacecraft is expected to spend about three weeks in space, three days of which will be in the lunar orbit.

The launch of the rocket is scheduled for August 29. It will take place from the territory of the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral.

The rocket and the spacecraft arrived at the launch pad last Wednesday.
