The increase and recalculation of pensions will take place in several stages.
In Ukraine, the subsistence minimum has increased since July 1, which has led to an increase in other social benefits. Thus, in 2022, a gradual increase in pensions for Ukrainian pensioners is foreseen. This was announced by the Pension Fund of Ukraine on its Facebook page.
How pensions have increased since July 1, 2022
Since July 1, the amount has already increased the minimum pension until 2027 UAH (the increase was UAH 93).
This increase in pension payments is connected with the increase in the living wage for disabled persons.
Whose pensions will be increased from October 1
In Ukraine, from October 1, an increase in the age pension is expected for non-working persons who have reached the age of 65 and have insurance experience – at least 30 years (women) and at least 35 years ( men).
It is also planned to establish a monthly compensation payment in the amount of 300 hryvnias (within the pension payment of 10,340.35 hryvnias) for persons aged 70 to 75 years. If a person reaches the age of 70 after October 1, the compensation payment will be established from the date of reaching the age of 70.
The Pension Fund noted that the minimum amount of the pension payment is set at the level of 3,000 for persons over the age of 70 who are granted a pension in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance” and who have 35 years of service for men and 30 years for women UAH.
“If the insurance experience of the specified persons is less than 35 years for men, less than 30 years for women, the minimum amount of the pension payment is determined in proportion to the existing insurance experience, based on the amount of 3,000 hryvnias,” says the notification of the PFU.

Pension increase from December 1
In Ukraine from December 1, 2022 the amount of the minimum pension payment will increase to UAH 2,093, as the level of the subsistence minimum will be increased.
Also, from December 1, the minimum pension payment will be set at the level of UAH 2,500 for persons under the age of 70 who have an insurance record of at least 35 years old for men and at least 30 years old for women, and receive a pension in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance” and do not work.
