Before the New Year, some products have become significantly more expensive. But in January, according to the website of the Ministry of Finance, the prices for buckwheat, millet and rice in supermarkets fell significantly.

Yes, as of On January 16, the average price tag for buckwheat in Ukrainian supermarkets is UAH 68.73 per kilogram. Back in December, its average cost was at the level of UAH 73.85. The minimum price for buckwheat in some retail chains is UAH 56.40.

The price of millet has also changed. A kilogram of millet now costs an average of 27.85 hryvnias, which is much cheaper than in December, when the price tag was 30.40 hryvnias. At the same time, the price of millet in 900-gram packs has not changed. Both now and in December, it is the same – UAH 18.90.

The price of long rice has also not changed compared to December. Then and now its kilogram costs UAH 74.59. In supermarket chains, it ranges from UAH 64.90 to UAH 84.27.

The situation with the price of steamed rice is a little different. It has become a little cheaper and now costs UAH 71.47 instead of UAH 72.49 per kilo in December. At the same time, the price of round rice rose slightly – from UAH 77.67 in December to UAH 77.82 per kilogram.
