The bilateral agreement on building a Bayraktar drone manufacturing plant in Ukraine has already been approved by the government and is in the Verkhovna Rada waiting for ratification, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Turkey Vasyl Bodnar said in an interview for “RBK-Ukraine”.

Despite the war in Ukraine, the owner of the company has already registered his Ukrainian company, in whose name he purchased a plot of land here, developed the project of the plant itself and is ready to implement it to the end.

“The personal commitment of the owners of the company to do this production in Ukraine is not only political, but also practical, since a significant part of the models that will be produced at this plant will have Ukrainian-made components. These can be engines, other spare parts, wheels, many different things that are high-tech in our country and can be used for these aircraft,” Bodnar clarified.

The ambassador noted that despite the war, Ukrainian companies that have obligations to Baykar continue to fulfill their obligations and supply components.

“Perhaps not in such volumes as it was planned, but do not abandon this work, and this also shows how responsible a partner we are, which does not leave the Turkish side alone with its problems, primarily in the supply of those things that are needed for their defense,” he added.
