After shelling of critical infrastructure facilities in Kharkiv Oblast, the government decided to create a coordination headquarters for prompt response to emergency situations in wartime conditions. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“Yesterday's barbaric shelling of the Russian Federation on critical infrastructure once again proved that we are opposed by terrorists… The task of the headquarters is to promptly eliminate the consequences of military destruction of energy and communal infrastructure. We must be ready to any scenarios,” Shmyhal emphasized.
The Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko and the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Chernyshov to form a headquarters.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to allocate UAH 400 million for the restoration of energy infrastructure facilities damaged by Russian missile strikes, and for assistance de-occupied territories of Ukraine.
It should be noted that, as of the morning of September 12, energy companies managed to fully restore electricity supply in Dnipropetrovsk region and by 80% in Kharkiv region.
